4th Quarter Return to In Person Learning Five Days a Week

We welcome our students back into the buildings and we want to let you know that if you feel your child needs extra support in their learning we encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher.  We are working on interventions and opportunities for our students during 4th quarter, summer and next school year.  We will have various programming available.  Please look for our District Learning Plans to be posted in April.
 
The last quarter also brings state testing requirements that will be given in April. All 3rd grade students through high school students will participate in Ohio State Testing.
 
Grade 3- 8: ELA (English Language Arts) and Math are administered in an online version and both are given in April. Each assessment is divided into two parts. It is scored as advanced, accelerated, proficient, basic and limited. 
Grade 5 and 8: In addition to ELA and Math, 5th and 8th grade students also take the science test. The assessment is divided into two parts. It is scored as advanced, accelerated, proficient, basic and limited.
Grade 8: Some 8th grade students are taking Algebra I for high school credit  and will take the End-of-Course Exam. It is scored as advanced, accelerated, proficient, basic and limited.
High School End of Course Exams: These assessments, required by the state, are administered each year toward the end of the course. There are six areas tested; English Language Arts II, mathematics (Algebra I and Geometry), social studies (American Gov’t and American History) and science (Biology). All are  scored as advanced, accelerated, proficient, basic and limited.
