Dear Sharpsburg Families,
As winter approaches, snow and frigid temperatures will soon be upon us. This brings the potential for school closings. Since we have already missed so much instructional time, this year we will be making an adjustment to the schedule, if needed. This will be different from the way we have done it in the past.
Over the past several months, we have learned that students can learn virtually. Therefore, if we need to close the school buildings due to the weather or COVID-19 emergency, the plan moving forward is for students to follow a remote learning schedule. Below is the schedule that your child should follow based on his/her grade. This is also the schedule that will be used daily if schools are closed due to COVID-19.
In the event schools are closed due to weather or COVID-19 emergency, families will be contacted by the district’s automated phone-calling system. A message will also be posted on the school’s website and posted on the local news channels.

Step Up to Quality

Step up to quality
Welcome to the Norwood City School District's Preschool Program.  We are so excited to help your child learn and grow.

Our philosophy is based on a developmental approach to education.  Programming is planned to meet each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs as the child passes through predictable and sequential stages of development.  We strive to create, build, and strengthen a relationship between families and school.

Norwood City School District Preschool Program is the proud recipient of 5 Stars from the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services through the Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) program. SUTQ is a five-star quality rating system that recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that are based on national research identifying standards that lead to improved outcomes for children.

Norwood City Schools is pleased to offer a preschool program to children 3-5 years of age.  The program was developed to meet the needs of children with diverse and varying abilities in an enriching learning environment.   This program is offered tuition free for children with disabilities, who qualify for special education services, and for a fee to typically developing children.

2020-21 tuition for preschool is $100 per month/$900 for the school year.   There is a $100 deposit due at registration and subsequent payments begin on September 1, 2020.  All payments should be given to the building secretary by the 15th of each month.
