Norwood students Preschool-12 can return full time beginning the first day of the 4th quarter. This primarily affects the A/B students who will be able to attend Monday through Friday beginning March 22.  Preschool students will return to their typical 4 days per week schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday).  Anyone who is currently virtual may remain in the virtual learning program through the end of the school year. Our staff will receive their second round of vaccinations at the beginning of March, and it takes a couple of weeks to take effect. We will continue safety protocols like wearing masks, continuously cleaning, and social distancing. The Data Assessment Risk Team (DART) will continue to meet weekly to monitor the district and Norwood numbers closely.

WHAT'S HAPPENING AT NORWOOD VIRTUAL PROGRAM

Thursday March 4th Schedule

Hello Norwood Families,

We have an update for you regarding the vaccination process for NCSD staff.  Good news: 88% of teachers were able to receive the first dose in February as part of Governor DeWine’s Vaccination Plan Phase 1B. That percentage is higher than many healthcare facilities at this time. The next dose will be administered March 3.  We noticed after the first round that about 23 people did not feel well the next day. The health department shared it is even more likely that adults may not feel well the day after the second dose as the body builds immunity to the virus.
