CAUTION: ARTISTS AT WORK!
Students in Mrs. Burton’s third grade Art classes have been learning about the Native American history of making totem poles. As a part of this experience the students created their own totem poles out of paper towel rolls and watercolor paint. Students were encouraged to tell a story through the images they created.
In planning the display of our totem poles, the students decided to create scenery behind their work in the form of a painted backdrop. This process included all of the students in each third grade class working together to accomplish this task.
Stop by the pre-school hallway to check our progress on this display!
