It is with great pleasure that Norwood High School recognizes Mrs. Mackenzie Weiss as the May teacher Rising Star. Although this is Mrs.Weiss' first year teaching, you would never know it. She consistently demonstrates character attributes often associated with veteran teachers. At the start of the year, she quickly made great connections with all of the students on her case load. She also began forming relationships with teachers as she supported students in their classroom. Both in and out of the classroom, Mrs. Weiss handled all situations thrown her way - always exercising good judgment and patience. Her students have come to appreciate her easy going demeanor and her willingness to always go the extra mile - no matter the situation or the student. Many of the teachers that she supports have already requested that she be assigned to them again next year - that certainly supports her work ethic and her ability to get the job done! We are very proud of Mackenzie and all of her work at Norwood High School. Congratulations Mrs. Weiss !
