NEWS FROM NORWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Norwood High School Families,
As we arrive at the half-way point of the school year, I would like to thank all of the students, their parents and the teachers for their hard work in the first half of the year. Working together, all students will be successful.
The week before winter break students completed their mid-term exams over a four day period and the results of the mid-terms will be available after the break. Students will return to school on January 3, 2019 and January 10, 2019 will be the end of the second quarter.
Currently, in conjunction with guidance department and teachers, we have already started the process of identifying the courses that will be offered to students in the 2019-20 school year. Our goal is to ensure that all classes are academically challenging and students are empowered to critically think and excel in and out of the classroom.
Congratulations to all of the seniors in the class of 2019 who are starting to receive acceptance letters from colleges. It is very exciting to watch our seniors begin to transition into the next chapter of their lives. The class of 2019 also has a few seniors who have already enlisted in the armed services - we are very proud of their decision to serve our country!
Parent-teacher conferences will be held on January 24, 2019 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm. Conferences are walk-in style with no appointment needed. We hope to see all families on conference night.
Please feel free to contact teachers, counselors or administrators at any time for any need. We are here to answer questions and ensure the success of your child.
