March Rising Star Nallisa Segrist-Bellamah March Rising Star Nallisa Segrist-Bellamah
Norwood Middle School is proud to announce Nallisa Bellamah Segrist as the “Rising Star” student for the month for February. As an 8th grader at the middle school, Nallisa makes it her personal goal to demonstrate all of the school’s PRIDE and Peace Builder characteristics in the way she consistently treats everyone with kindness. Nallisa habitually works to the very best of her ability and creates quality work. She successfully completes her work on time never hesitates to ask for help. In addition, Nallisa is involved in various sports throughout the year. This year she played basketball and she plans to join soccer this spring.

Norwood Middle School is proud to announce Caraline Pratt as the 7th grade “Rising Star” for the month of March. Caraline sets an excellent example by demonstrating Peacebuilder Pride, Digital, Dignity, and Norwood Pride each and every day at school. Academically, she excels in her subject areas, enjoys Art and Stem Lab, and works extremely hard on whatever task she is presented with 
Job Shadowing
On Friday, March 10 our eighth grade students had a wonderful opportunity to explore the world of work through the Junior Achievement sponsored event: “Groundhog Job Shadow Day”.

We would like to thank everyone who went to the polls on November 8th and spoke loudly through your vote to support the children of Norwood through the passage of Issue #47. Thank you for your support, your trust in the district and care for our children! Our first renovation projects will begin as soon as the school year ends. We will have weekly updates on the district web page beginning in June 2017!

Is your child going to Washington DC? Would you like for him/her to receive help planning to save $20 a week to pay for the trip? Our friends at Northwest Mutual are volunteering with us to help students create a financial plan to reach their goal. They will be working with them monthly during advisory to work on their plans.
