NORWOOD SHOWS PRIDE IN SBAAC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
Norwood High School :: Girls Track

DAY 1

 

Tuesday was the first half of the SBAAC League Track & Field championship at Western Brown. Robert Boston won the Long Jump with his best ever jump of 20'10", Daniel Wilson took second in the HIGH Jump at 5'8", tying his best ever. Ronnie Williams had his second best Discus throw to take fifth place.

 

Tonight will be finals in the the running events. Robert Boston was the fastest qualiifier in both the 110 Hurdles and the 200 meter dash. Also running tonight will be Ben Burton in the 1600 meters, David Torres in the 800, Andrew Noe in the 3200, and  our 400 and 1600 meter relay teams.

 

In the girls competition, Freshman Sarah Hodson qualified for the 100 meter finals, Junior Megan Grubb made the 300 meter Hurdle final, and Sophomore Erin Herre took sixth in the High Jump.

 

DAY 2

 

 At the SBAC Championship last night junior Megan Grubb raced the 300 meter hurdles for only the fifth time. Megan improved her time by over 3 seconds to 50.5 seconds and finish second, and set a NEW NORWOOD SCHOOL RECORD. the old record was 51.4. Congratulations, Megan!!

  In addition, Robert Boston took second in the 200 meter dash, and David Torres took third in the 800 meters.

The Norwood Indians finish in third place in the SBAAC .
 
 INDIANS WIN WESTERN BROWN INV.
 Jamie Cole completed the tournament victory with a win over Batavia. The victory gives Norwood it's first tournament championship in school history!!!
 
Jamie Cole won 1st place in Singles
Boling and Town got 1st place in 1st Doubles 
  Dellinger and Mann got 2nd place in 2nd Doubles

 

 

  Record: 9-6

 

INDIANS KNOCK OFF BRAVES....

NORWOOD 8- Indian Hill 4

The Indians were able to knock off Indian Hill in the first round of sectionals.  Peyton Williams picked up the victory on the mound.
