Message from the Principal

Welcome Back Wildcats! 2018-2019

Welcome back Williams Wildcats! The summer months seem to go faster as I get older. Our staff has had a lot of professional development, time to reflect & some relaxation, which has proven to serve us well. We are ready for the challenge in preparing for the start of another wonderful year. The progress and growth our students made throughout the past few years is nothing short of amazing. We are planning to build young minds in creating an innovative mindset: empower learning, unleash talent, and bolstering a culture of creativity.

As the world changes we all need to change or tweak our mindset to look at growth and helping our students be innovator’s for the future. Our commitment to achievement and success will help each student to prepare for their transition in higher education and in being prepared for their future.

This year we welcome two new members to our team: Mary Parks (Intervention Specialist) & Jacob Martin (3rd grade ELA). They look forward to bringing new energy to our team and working on continued successes with each student. Being a 1989 graduate of NHS myself (just one of the 30 NHS Alumni out of 50 staff members at W.A.E), we have a tremendous amount of Pride in our community and in our schools.

We encourage each parent to promote a positive innovative mindset in each of their child's education. If each student is here every day, on time and ready to learn, they will be better prepared for what the world will bring at them. My parents instilled in my brother and I that each everyone is brought into this world for two reasons: 1. To do great things & 2. To build relationships. My mom would say, “When you build positive relationships, great things will come of it!”

Wildcat Nation we look forward to a collaborative year and want to thank you for all you do in helping W.A.E. in “Building Strong Minds”.

Sincerely,

Mark Gabbard, Principal
